His own journey through chronic health challenges led him to explore a more holistic path to healing—one that now shapes his philosophy of care. Today, Dr. Petersen is deeply committed to offering gentle, science-based solutions that support long-term wellness for patients and their families.
The Journey to Holistic
Dr. Samuel Petersen's journey began with his four year old daughter's diagnosis of an autoimmune condition, followed by his own struggle with debilitating migraines, and his mother suffering from chronic illness brought on by environmental exposures. These challenges led him to search for help and answers. Dr. Petersen sought out doctor after doctor and received expensive, invasive testing. He was offered symptom-blocking treatments with unknown side effects, none of which provided any real solution to the root of the issues. He knew there had to be a better way.
Through his determination to discover how to help his daughter, himself, and those he loves, his journey led him to an elimination diet, gut health, and a continual quest to optimize wellness. He has an understanding of the struggles so many face, and like so many, this was the catalyst that led him to holistic solutions. After completing dental school, he felt compelled to apply all he had learned from his journey in holistic health to provide deeper healing to help his patients.
The Belief
Dr. Petersen is passionate about keeping teeth ALIVE and vital. He wholeheartedly believes our whole body's health is inseparable from our oral health and vice versa. He is devoted to providing quality care and works diligently to find answers to difficult questions, even if that means completely changing common beliefs and methods.

He believes in partnering with his patients to find the best solution for them. He believes patients have an ultimate say in what is best for themselves and their families. He avidly supports a patient's 'right to choose' and their right to complete informed consent.
Dr. Petersen strives to provide the best dentistry possible while weighing out and balancing the effects and materials such dental treatment may have on a patient systemically.
